Verizon cracks open Japanese business market

Verizon Communications says it has made inroads into the traditionally closed, but potentially lucrative, Japanese enterprise market after the telecom's signing of a $100 million managed-services contract with Mitsui in April. "This has helped immensely with relationships, this endorsement from working with a Japanese company. It's been a real breakthrough for us," said Andrew Dobbins, head of Asian-Pacific operations.
