Travel agents should inform their cruise clients beforehand about the growing number of spending temptations on cruises and offer options to help them cope, Fran Golden writes. The added costs include markups for wine and beverages, expensive spa treatments and specialty restaurants. Agents could advise their clients about more reasonable restaurant choices or to purchase drinks or wine packages to save money, Golden adds.
