A growing number of school districts are offering high-school students more career-focused courses -- primarily those that will put them on the path to college. That includes offering aerospace, aviation and other science, technology, engineering and math programs. "School districts are inventing new ways to provide kids with earlier opportunities to focus on what they want to be when they grow up," said Jim Stone, director of the National Research Center for Career Technical Education.
