Florida area gears up for World Rabies Day

World Rabies Day is a global campaign that seeks to raise rabies awareness and highlight prevention against the potentially fatal disease. In St. Johns County, Fla., officials are planning a rabies clinic that will offer microchips and vaccinations. "Rabies prevention starts with the animal owner. We recommend that people vaccinate dogs, cats, ferrets and any other animal that has regular contact with humans," one area official said.
