AT&T contracts with Charter to sell local ads for its U-verse service

AT&T's U-verse TV service has retained Charter Communications' Charter Media to sell local-advertising inventory in St. Louis, with plans to expand the arrangement to other markets. The deal is similar to one AT&T has with Comcast Spotlight and Time Warner Cable. AT&T said the move will streamline the local-ad-buying process for media buyers and create more value for the cable-network inventory.
