Recent FDA-approved antimicrobial agents linked to adverse reactions

Four of 11 antimicrobial agents that have been approved in the U.S. since 2006 have been linked to serious adverse events such as premature labor, liver dysfunction and acute coronary syndrome, U.S. researchers said. The findings were presented at the Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy.
