D-SPECT camera more effective than traditional SPECT, study says

A prospective, multicenter study showed that Spectrum Dynamics' new high-speed D-SPECT camera can detect a similar amount of myocardial perfusion abnormality as Siemens Healthcare's A-SPECT camera at a fraction of the acquisition time. The study also showed that D-SPECT has a higher normalcy rate than A-SPECT in patients with low pre-scan likelihood of coronary artery disease.
