Medvedev signals possible about-face on Iran sanctions

Russian president Dmitry Medvedev signaled a possible policy reversal by expressing support for U.S. sanctions again Iran in advance of his trip later this month to the United Nations General Assembly and the G-20 economic summit in Pittsburgh. "Sanctions are not very effective on the whole, but sometimes you have to embark on sanctions and they can be right," Medvedev said.
