$5.5M settlement is reached over death of student hit by bus at UConn

A settlement requires the University of Connecticut and the state to pay $5.5 million to the parents of a student who died after he was struck by a university shuttle bus. The bus driver, also a student at the university, was given a sentence of two years' probation after he pleaded no contest to negligent homicide with a motor vehicle.
