Hilton's franchise operations to remain unchanged amid IPO, owners say

Blackstone Group's recent decision to take Hilton Worldwide public likely wouldn't affect operations at any of the hotelier's franchises, said hotel owners Jeff Good, president of HRC Hotels, and Gerry Chase, president and chief operating officer of New Castle Hotels & Resorts. "The IPO doesn't affect the way we do business. At some time in the future it might affect funding of certain things, but in general, as we've seen with other franchisors, the standards that are in place aren't tied into whether they're a private company or a publicly held company," Chase said.
