Ohio families to gain from NOPAC's decision to buy local shale gas

More than 270,000 families and small businesses could save as much as $100 annually as gas prices are expected to decrease because of the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council's decision to buy shale natural gas from a local supplier. "We think we are the first to look at the Ohio market in a consistent way, a way that we hope will change the general gas paradigm," said Chuck Keiper, executive director of NOPEC.
