Study backs 3D LAVImin for predicting MACE

3D minimal left atrial volume index more accurately predicts major adverse cardiac events for patients with cardiac disease than 3D maximal left atrial volume index, according to a study published in JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging. These findings reflect other research that has shown chronic left ventricle diastolic pressure/volume overload is best identified by 3D LAVImin, the authors note.
