Mexico's Mayan and Spanish colonial roots are visible in Valladolid, Mexico, where shops display their wares inside historic structures. Visitors may hire tour guides to take them to out-of-the-way historic sites, or take a swim in one of the town's many swimming holes, called cenotes.
