Midwest Medical to offer malpractice insurance credits for EHR use

Midwest Medical Insurance Co. plans to offer malpractice insurance premium credits of 2% to 5% to solo physician practitioners and group practices using EHRs. To qualify, the practices must be CCHIT certified, have at least 75% of providers using the technology, use the technology for at least one year, and be using at least two of the EHR functions listed on the application.
