Senators regroup with smaller immigration efforts

Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle are regrouping after their failed attempt to pass broad immigration reform legislation. Measures under consideration include an amendment by Senate Democrats that would provide conditional legal status for young illegal immigrants, a proposal by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., to create a visa program for farmhands that would potentially lead to citizenship and a short-term guest worker program for laborers that is being discussed by Republican senators.
