Study finds little concern with certain breast lesions seen on ultrasound

Multiple bilateral circumscribed breast masses identified via sonography are benign in most cases, according to an article published in Radiology. Although more studies are needed to further verify the results, the researchers recommend one-year diagnostic follow-up evaluation for MB circumscribed benign-appearing masses identified with screening sonography and a normal screening schedule thereafter if the mass is stable.
