Incorporating virtual surgical planning in complex maxillofacial reconstruction surgery involving multiple simultaneous free flaps resulted in no intraoperative complications and provided good outcomes, according to a study published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. All patients had excellent osseous flap contour and functional mandibular range of motion, researchers report.
