Scottish organ recipients reject living donations

A new survey shows that would-be recipients of "living" kidney and liver donations from family members would not allow their relatives to undergo the procedure for fear of complications or death from the procedure. "These results are important, as we need to achieve a deeper understanding of the attitudes, concerns and risk perceptions of patients and their families," one expert said.
