Radio, despite challenges from new media rivals and a difficult economic climate, needs to focus on its future and the opportunities to attract new listeners -- and advertisers -- through emerging digital channels, NAB President-CEO David Rehr said in his "State of the Industry" speech, at the NAB Radio Show in Austin, Texas. "Radio needs people who believe," Rehr said. "And I hope everyone in this room is a believer. We need people who are bold and who will take charge of leading us into the future."
