Study ties daily vitamin A intake to lower body weight

Daily consumption of vitamin A-rich foods like carrots, spinach and milk may help reduce visceral fat and overall body weight in obese people, Indian researchers at the National Institute of Nutrition said. Their study in mice showed that vitamin A decreases the activity of the 11-beta HSD1 enzyme, which is responsible for central obesity.
