Al Maktoum International to open to passengers 27 October

Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai is slated to begin accepting passenger traffic at the end of October pending a final review from aviation officials. Hungary's low-cost carrier Wizz Air will be among the first to begin operations there. Current capacity is around 7 million passengers per year, although the airport's planned expansion will make it the largest in the world by 2030 with plans to accommodate some 160 million passengers per year.
