Employees gravitate toward low-priced health plans, add dental and vision

Employees given a set amount of money to purchase health insurance from a private exchange tended to choose a low- or mid-priced plan and add dental, vision and disability insurance. Of the 2,500 individuals choosing plans from one New York exchange, 69% chose the lowest-cost plans, 72% added dental insurance, 71% bought life insurance, 53% bought disability insurance and 45% bought a vision plan.
