How credentials can advance advisers' careers

As competition in the investment management industry continues to intensify, advisers would do well to develop specialties in certain areas instead of taking a generalist approach, writes IMCA Chair Elizabeth Piper/Bach. One avenue to continued learning is IMCA's Certified Investment Management Analyst, or CIMA, certification. An Aite Group study shows that, compared to other advisers, CIMA professionals are more satisfied with their careers, manage twice the assets and generate twice the revenue per client and earn more money.
