Ring-bearing barn owl sleeps through wedding

A British couple planned to wow their wedding guests by having a barn owl fly down the aisle carrying their rings, but the stunt fell flat when the bird flapped into the church's rafters and fell asleep, the rings still dangling from ribbons tied to its talons. The couple was forced to continue the ceremony using substitute rings, and a work crew later used a ladder to retrieve the owl.
