Struggling Air France to axe additional 2,800 jobs

Air France announced it will slash another 2,800 jobs by the end of the next year. The latest cuts follow layoffs totaling 5,100 in June of last year, a casualty of Europe's sluggish economy, according to the airline. The latest cuts will be mostly be reached through early retirements and attrition, the airline said. Air France-KLM is again expected to post a net loss this year, said Chief Executive Alexandre de Juniac.
