TeleNICU program debuts at pediatric hospital in Dallas

Children's Medical Center in Dallas has unveiled the first neonatal telemedicine initiative in Texas. The TeleNICU program, which will be operational by the end of the month, will use broadband transmission and a mobile equipment cart to allow doctors at distant-site neonatal intensive care facilities to easily reach and consult with the hospital's neonatologists. "The TeleNICU will enable us to work collaboratively with our hospital and physician colleagues to deliver the right care, at the right time, in the right place," said Christopher J. Durovich, president and chief executive officer of Children's Medical Center.
