Nissan studies using sensors as a safety system for drivers

Nissan Motor is developing technology that will use sensors to warn drivers about potential danger, such as a car pulling out quickly from a hidden alley. Japan uses infrared sensors hanging from street poles to check on congestion, and the sensors then relay the information to car navigation equipment. Nissan's technology would also use the sensors to detect danger.
