Chesapeake Energy announces creation of oilfield-services unit

Chesapeake Energy said it has created an oilfield-services unit, and has appointed former Boots & Coots International Well Control CEO Jerry Winchester to head the new subsidiary. The unit, which will be called Chesapeake Oilfield Services, will provide low-cost services to Chesapeake's exploration and production, and will protect the company against oilfield inflation.
