Consortium adopts metrics to improve care

The Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement of the American Medical Association has adopted recommendations in generating metrics for patient outcomes including mortality, morbidity and care satisfaction. Such measures would provide physicians with necessary information to help improve clinical care, an official stated.
