Home-based agents are shifting focus from cruise sales

An annual survey by Agent@Home on home-based travel agents indicates a possible shift in agents' sales preferences, Agent@Home President Mark Murphy notes. The survey shows 57% of respondents expressing difficulty selling cruises profitably and 65% wishing to diversify their travel offerings. "Only time will tell, but the signs are that agents are moving toward seeking more profitable options with other supplier segments," Murphy writes.
