DISH wins 2 more rounds in court for ad-skipping Hopper

DISH Network in the past week won a pair of court decisions in defense of its Hopper DVR and ad-skipping service. On Monday, a federal court in California refused Fox Broadcasting's request to shut down the Hopper DVR, and this past Wednesday, a federal judge in New York rebuffed a similar bid by ABC Television. "We will continue to vigorously defend consumers' right to choice and control over their viewing experience," said R. Stanton Dodge, DISH's general counsel.
