HHS website educates patients on meaningful consent for HIE

HHS has unveiled an online meaningful consent resource to help providers educate patients about their choices when it comes to the electronic exchange of their health data. The website, which covers health information exchange-related policies, laws and issues, was developed as a response to the ONC Health Information Technology Policy Committee's 2011 recommendations.
