Coupon sites spur mixed feelings in eatery owners

Denver-area restaurateurs have mixed feelings about the outcomes of recent marketing efforts on daily-deal coupon sites such as Groupon and LivingSocial. For some, including Appaloosa Grill and others that don't typically offer coupons and discounts, recent offers paid off in attracting new customers likely to return. Others say they'll avoid the sites, amid concerns that deep discounts would devalue their brands in the minds of consumers.
