Oilseed usage is growing faster than production

The 2011-12 growing season will see worldwide oilseed use increase by nearly 4%, but production will only increase by 0.7%, according to Oil World projections. One contributor to the expected gap is a decline in U.S. soybeans, where recent frost has reduced crop ratings in three states and cut short the growing season.
