President Barack Obama is marshaling all the powers at his disposal to improve his chances of winning re-election this fall, Beltway observers say. From picking trade fights with China to ducking potential clashes with industry groups, Obama's officials are coordinating their policy decisions and announcements in a bid to boost Obama's chances. "He looks like he is aiding his re-election with the power of the Oval Office," says Bush-era White House aide Matt Schlapp.
