Campaign aims to improve job outlook for people with disabilities

A group of advocacy organizations have launched an initiative to help people with disabilities join the workforce. The Campaign for Disability Employment has created an online resource that shows people with disabilities at work. About 16.9% of people with disabilities were unemployed last month, compared with a 9.3% rate for the general population. "The campaign is about raising expectations and changing perceptions of people with disabilities," a Department of Labor official said.
