T-Mobile is bullish on evolved 3G in Philly

T-Mobile has brought HSPA+ service to some Philadelphia-area cell sites, a first for the carrier, but it says it remains fully committed to installing a 4G LTE network. An AT&T executive said last week that the telecom would skip HSPA+ and build directly to the 4G LTE standard. T-Mobile said it would expand its upgrade -- which it termed a software install -- to cover more of the Philadelphia market.
