Valero delays expansion of crude unit and coker at refinery

Valero Energy has announced that, with refining margins at dismal levels, the company is delaying the expansion of a crude unit and coker at a Louisiana refinery until 2012. The estimated $250 million expansion is designed to expand the St. Charles refinery's crude processing capacity by 45,000 barrels a day and daily coking capacity by 10,000 barrels.
