The future of leadership will be modeled on open-source software projects such as Scribd and Project Gutenberg, writes Anand Pillai. Command-and-control leadership will give way to more collaborative, less hierarchical ways of planning strategy and making decisions. "When the CEO steps back and places the onus of organizational change onto the employees, they start to think like entrepreneurs," Pillai writes. "Even if only 10% of employees participate, this is a massive amount of energy."
