Geo-spatial data critical to business analytics, IBM exec says

The growth of geo-spatial data is one of the most important trends in business analytics, according to IBM's vice president of predictive analysis, Deepak Advani. The real-time data provided by geo-spatial technology is critical for optimizing and analyzing other business information in real time, he notes. "The last two decades were about automation and the next two will be about optimisation," he said.
