Mobile data could help business intelligence market double by 2014

The growing ease of using business intelligence tools and the increasing importance of mobile data will cause the BI market to double by 2014, according to the research firm Gartner. Mobile apps, visual data and search technology have combined to make business intelligence accessible to more casual users, the firm notes. The ability to blend mobile data into existing customer profiles makes it easier for companies to predict customer behavior, the firm adds.
