New PBS campaign focuses on advocating female leadership

The three-year Women and Girls Lead campaign, being lead by The Independent Television Service, features national PBS broadcasts of 50 documentaries focused on leadership roles women are taking around the world, according to a press statement. The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media is just one powerhouse supporter of the campaign. "I'm thrilled to lend my voice to the Women and Girls Lead campaign," said Geena Davis. "Women and girls are grossly misrepresented in our media. The powerful stories told by the documentary films included in this campaign amplify the voices of women and girls, and bring visibility and value to their lives."
