Quiz-show celebrity's new book explores the world of mapping

Technology has made maps more useful and frequently used, according to a new book by Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings. Smartphones allow users to carry maps of the entire world everywhere they go, and apps allow for the integration of supplementary material, such as the menus of local restaurants, with geographic information. However, some of the wonder of maps is gone, leaving enthusiasts to focus more deeply on already charted areas or map out nonexistent locales.
