FDA sees tamper-proof advantage in OxyContin version

FDA scientists said a plasticlike coating for Purdue Pharma's painkiller OxyContin offers "limited" tamper-proof qualities, but that the version of the drug might "provide an advantage" over regular OxyContin. A panel of advisers will meet Thursday to review additional data on OxyContin.
