Regulators might gain authority to rein in bankers' bonuses

Negotiators are working on a communique ahead of the Group of 20 summit in the US this week that would give regulators around the world the authority to limit bankers' bonuses, although the compromise is expected to stop short of an absolute cap. The Financial Stability Board is finalising details of the proposal, which will be presented at the G-20 summit Friday.
