Remote-access software aids return of stolen laptops

Miami marketing executive David Krop had two laptops stolen from his vehicle, only to realize his data wasn't protected with even a log-in password. Using remote-access software, he monitored the new user's online activity long enough to capture his name, e-mail address and cell phone number, as well as a video of his face, all of which he turned over to police.
