N.C. program seeks to give shelter dogs new lease on life

A program in Charlotte, N.C., aims to find foster homes for canines surrendered to the Gaston County Animal Control as well as rescue dogs slated for euthanasia at area shelters. The program, called Foster Gal, allows the dogs to be vaccinated and temperament-tested before they are placed in foster homes.
