Poll gives snapshot of radio news coverage

More than one in three news and news-talk radio stations generate 90% of news stories from their own general-assignment reporters, and many others get between 60% and 86% of their news from their GAs, according to a poll by PR firm News Generation. The survey also showed the use of citizen journalists is up in some top markets, but "is not playing a significant role at most stations yet."
