Darden may add brands as part of growth strategy

Darden Restaurants expects to increase its revenue by as much as 50% by 2016, with growth coming largely from existing brands that are likely to be augmented by new concepts the company either acquires or creates, CEO Clarence Otis told shareholders at the Orland-based company's annual meeting this week.
