S&P downgrades several Italian lenders' credit ratings

Standard & Poor's downgraded the credit ratings of several Italian banks, a move widely expected after the country's sovereign-debt rating was downgraded. S&P cut the long-term credit ratings of Intesa Sanpaolo and Mediobanca as well as credit ratings for BNP Paribas subsidiaries Findomestic Banca and Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, among others.
